New citizens can now easily request updates to their Social Security information.

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has revealed that as of April 1, individuals submitting Form N-400, which pertains to Application for Naturalization, will now be able to opt for either acquiring a new or replacing an existing Social Security number (SSN) or card, and can also revise their immigration status with the Social Security Administration (SSA) without the necessity of a physical visit to an SSA facility.
